Pack 565’s annual spring overnight trips have provided our scouts and their families with in-depth and up-close experiences. This year’s trip will take us to Pioneer Village in Minden, Nebraska. (Near Grand Island and Kearney) We’ll discover what it was like to live in sod houses and log cabins and get mail from the Pony Express. See one of the first cars, built more than 100 years ago, along with more than 350 other antique autos, flying machines, tractors, and a steam-powered merry-go-round. We’ll have special hands-on activities just for our pack.

Fill out the registration form on the attached flyer, and bring it to the next den meeting or pack meeting.

Learn more about Pioneer Village on their web site:
A "caravan" of cars will be meeting at Sunny Slope School, departing at 4:00 on Friday, April 29.  You may drive with the caravan, or on your own.  The caravan will make a dinner stop along the way.  We plan to arrive in Minden around 7:30 p.m.
Just like we have done on many overnight trips, the entire pack will be sleeping overnight in one large room.  Bring sleeping bags, pillows and air mattresses or cots.  You do not need tents or cooking gear.  Food will be provided on Saturday.
The activities at Pioneer Village will conclude by noon on Saturday, and you may leave earlier than noon, if you must.
